La Land Rover Freelander 2 è la SUV di dimensioni compatte della Casa di Solihull, giunta alla seconda generazione nel 2006, come sottolineato dal numero due che affianca la denominazione. Il restyling di metà carriera, invece, risale al 2010. La Freelander 2 è disponibile solo con carrozzeria Station Wagon a 5 porte ed è lunga 450 cm, larga 191 cm e alta 174 cm, mentre il passo misura 266 cm. Nei test Euro NCAP ha conquistato il massimo punteggio di cinque stelle. La gamma della Land Rover Freelander 2 è declinata in quattro allestimenti: E, S, SE e HSE. In Italia, la vettura è disponibile solo con motorizzazioni a diesel. Inoltre, è in arrivo l’inedita versione a due ruote motrici.
